For the third year, the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the Kalloni EIC organise birdwatching activities during the autumn bird migration to present the unique nature within the Lesvos Geopark.
The programme is offered from the 17th of August until the end of September every Tuesday and Thursday afternoon (18:00-19:30) and every Friday and Saturday morning (08:30-10:00) in the area of the Kalloni Salt Pans, the greatest and most important wetland of the island. Birdwatching will be offered in groups of 5-10 persons (ages ten and over), and to book, one needs to obtain a ticket (15 euros) either from the Natural History Museum in Sigri, the Kalloni EIC in Skala Kallonis or the Museum's e-shop.
No prior experience in birdwatching is required, and each participant will use his/her pair of binoculars and have shared use of 1 or 2 spotting scopes.
