The "Wetlands of western Lesvos" is a newly launched program co-organized by the North Aegean Prefecture and the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified that aims to raise awareness about the ecological richness and environmental importance of the small insular wetlands found within the Natura 2000 network protected areas of Western Lesvos. Unique values that can at the same time act as generators of local small-scale development based upon alternative tourism practices.
The 4th meeting of the program is being held on Tuesday, August 28 (19:30), in the amphitheater of the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest, in Sigri.
