The schools from Attica are visiting Lesvos UNESCO Global Geopark and carry out birdwatching activities in the wetlands of Kalloni gulf.
The students learned about the importance of the Kalloni wetlands, its great biodiversity and the species of birds found in the Kalloni wetlands by the staff of the Museum and through the special educational cards identifying the important birds of the wetlands of Lesvos.
The students observed dozens of flamingos, avocets and sandpipers learning about their unique characteristics.
