A successfull educational activity of the 4th High School of Dafni was completed, in the context of their visit to the Lesvos Geopark.

The students, accompanied by the Biodiversity-Geodiversity team of the Natural History Museum of the Lesvos Petrified Forest and the Center for Environmental Information of Kalloni, visited Observatory 2, in the Salt Flats of Kalloni, where they participated in the bird watching activity.

The group was informed about the importance of the wetlands of Lesbos, the Salt Flats of Kalloni, but also about the rare and protected bird species that are housed in these areas.

The aim of the birdwatching activity is not only to get to know the bird species, but also to inform and raise awareness of everyone in order to protect the unique wealth of Lesvos.
