The information activities on the wetlands of western Lesvos and the birdwatching excursions from the Natural History Museum of the Lesbos Petrified Forest / Kalloni Environmental Information Center continue with particular success.
As we are going through the best period for monitoring the spring migration of birds from our island, the staff of the Museum of Natural History of the Lesbos Petrified Forest / Center for Environmental Information of Kalloni carried out a birdwatching excursion on the afternoon of Thursday 9 May in the most important wetland of Lesvos, in Kallonis' wetlands.
The participants, using the special equipment of the Museum, had the opportunity to get to know the special avifauna of the region that is currently in the wetlands with the use of binoculars and telescopes and learning more information about the characteristic bird species from the special bird identification cards.
